Leftover Salmon, Jon Stickley

When: Thu., Nov. 7, 9 p.m. 2013
Price: $22-25
Colorado's LEFTOVER SALMON is so synonymous with the jam scene that they're bound to be underappreciated in wider circles. They've always possessed impressive chops, but over time, they've demonstrated an increasingly eclectic stylistic palette to accompany their energetic roots. Lots of melody and hooks ground the songs, especially on 2012's Aquatic Hitchhiker. Bluegrass, roots-swing and blues-boogie coexist like tailgaters, and the feeling of a party presides throughout—with a foot-tapping sound that's pretty infectious. —Chris Parker
