Crime, Drama

In this tale of a middle-aged couple celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, Nick (Cloud Atlas' Jim Broadbent) and Meg (Under the Tuscan Sun's Lindsay Duncan) have lost the spark of romance in their relationship when we first meet them. Nick pushes for a romantic weekend in Paris, the setting of their honeymoon, in a final attempt to rekindle the fire in their marriage. Broadbent and Duncan are startling in their portrayals of a couple who have grown too comfortable to separate, but can't spend more than two minutes in each other's company. A very funny film, albeit the comedy grows a bit uncomfortable at times.
