Great Carolina salsa bands open and close the Bull City's annual Latino Festival, with Durham's Orquesta GarDel at 12:15 p.m. and Winston-Salem's West End Mambo at 4 p.m. Carlota Santana's Flamenco Vivo dance troupe, Raleigh's Mex-regional band Realeza de la Sierra and other live performers serve sets in between. Food and crafts vendors, community outreach booths, kids' activities and a soccer tournament are featured fare. Rock Quarry Park is at 701 Stadium Drive in north Durham; the rain location is Holton Career and Resource Center at 401 N. Driver St., just east of downtown.
