Re: “Try Our New Debit Card Fees!

It's so cute how ignorant you are, Bo. If you'd been paying attention to the news lately you'd know how thousands of BofA customers pulled their accounts in protest of their latest hidden fees fiasco. The artist used the concept of surrendering, which BofA did, in the literal sense for the piece. It's not an invitation to bomb banks, it's pointing out the cowardly act banks have been pulling lately in trying to find new ways to screw their customers.
It's also pretty interesting how you equate putting cross hairs on REAL PEOPLE like Sarah Palin did, one of whom (Giffords) is still recovering in Arizona, with this piece that's attacking a corporation. I'd suggest going to news outlets that aren't Drudge Report and Free Republic in order to find out what's going on nowadays. Good luck!

Re: “Why I'm grateful for Planned Parenthood

2XWinner,

What I don't think you understand is the huge cognitive dissonance with the fact that you understand abortions will continue but don't seem to care if it's done in a safe and clean environment for the women involved. Affluent women will continue to have abortions like these and that's not a problem. The problem is that Planned Parenthood offers to the poor what rich women do not have to worry about being taken away from them. This is less a war on abortion than it is a war on the poor. You have to understand that for some women, Planned Parenthood is the last step before back alley abortions, throwing yourself down the stairs or many other dangerous ways women received abortions before PP existed.

Re: “Why I'm grateful for Planned Parenthood

@2XWinner,

There's a certain level of irony involved in someone railing against public broadcasting on a website that fills the same niche.

Anyway, I can't type for long. My hands hurt from counting all my liberal money but I just wanted to point out that if you strip Planned Parenthood of all of it's funding simply because it dispenses a (legal) procedure to those who need it, then all you're doing is punishing low income women for the crime of having a uterus while poor.

Thank you for the article Joyce, it's refreshing to see a voice in all the crazy that can eloquently put into words all that Planned Parenthood does for the women in the community. As we get closer to the dystopia featured in The Handmaid's Tale, I become more and more grateful for the people I meet and read about that stand with us and are too, grateful for Planned Parenthood.
