We're right in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate all the rich beauty of Latino culture than by attending the annual La Fiesta del Pueblo. This year promises to be the biggest gathering yet. However, there's one major glitch: you've only got seven hours to indulge in food from Mexico, Venezuela, El Salvador, Cuba, and the Caribbean while also dancing to tropicana, mambo, salsa, Mexican folklorico, and mariachi. The festival also features a variety of vendors with goods from local artisans and Latino specialty stores. Best of all, bachatero Toby Love is headlining. My borrowed advice from Celia Cruz: La vida es un carnaval. Go for it all.— Araceli Cruz
