KidsWrite 2013 | Burning Coal Theatre at the Murphey School | Stage | Indy Week
This is a past event.

KidsWrite 2013

When: Fri., May 24, 7:30 p.m. and Sat., May 25, 2 & 7:30 p.m. 2013
Price: $10

As a staunch advocate for (and product of) youth arts education, I just want to shake the hand of Jerome Davis, Burning Coal's artistic director, for giving aspiring North Carolina writers a chance to take their plays to the stage at the annual KidsWrite Festival, now in its sixth year. Burning Coal will present one-act plays by Arya Sundaram, Courtney Pisano and Louis Dohanich, after reviewing submissions by sixth-to-12th-graders from Wake and surrounding counties. Zia Affronti Morter directs the production.—Emma Miller
