Kelsea Ballerini, Carly Pearce

When: Fri., Nov. 13, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $14.50
The lack of female representation in the country-radio mainstream drew a lot of attention in 2015, sparked by, of all things, an allegory about the balance of lettuce (Luke Bryan, Keith Urban, other dudes) and tomatoes (any lady artist) in a hypothetical play list salad. But the 22-year-old Tennessee native Kelsea Ballerini, who issued The First Time earlier this year, makes one realize how a Caprese can be a meal on its own. Ballerini’s voice is supple and rich, and her wise-beyond-her-years lyrics add the heat. —Maura Johnston
