Re: “Lines are long at Rise, Durham's newest bakery

Love, Love , Love rise! The way I measure most new food establishments is 1. get the most simple item on the menu. If they mess that one up chances are you are in for a bad time. So on my first trip to Rise I got the glazed donut Moist not to dense and sweet but not overly so. I thought it was just right . I myself am not one for very sugary things.
Also feeling quite darning that morning I went for something that I am not very fond of Biscuits. I really avoid them at all cost. It's a texture thing but I went for the biscuit with thick cut ham and cheese. I kid you not the only words that came out of my mouth until I was completely finished every morsel was "Oh my god".
The line was out the door when we arrived but then again that is to be expected when it is one of the more popular places in Durham. It helps that you can go ahead and make a coffee to sip on while you wait in line.
Great Job guys! Rise is now a part of our Saturday morning ritual.
