Karla Bonoff

When: Sun., Nov. 20, 8 p.m. 2016
Price: $28-$32
Let’s get this straight up front: Karla Bonoff did not sing on Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” that was Ellen Foley; Bonoff just appeared in the video. She did, however, write songs for everyone from Bonnie Raitt to Linda Ronstadt, and turn out a string of stylish solo albums in the seventies and eighties. She later worked with semi-supergroup Bryndle alongside fellow singer-songwriters Wendy Waldman and Andrew Gold, but Bonoff hasn’t released an album of new material on her own since 1988. That doesn’t stop her from bringing her songs out on the road, though, so catch her while you can. —Jim Allen
