Med mal claims adjuster for 26 years.
Carriers only try those hand picked cases that they believe are slam dunk winners. Mention the number of cases that are settled and how much.
Caps respond to unmeasurable causes of action - pain and suffering. Cant weigh it and there is no ruler.

Is the focus of your argument: Since the company is making money, they must have a license to steal, or something untoward is going on? Good companies make money and pay claims with merit.

Maybe argue for higher limits for the insureds? While you are at it, a jury of peers for those docs would be nice. How about a college degree to sit on a med mal jury?
