Justin Roberts & the Not Ready for Naptime Players

When: Sat., July 21, 6:30 p.m. 2012

As a childless dude in his 20s, I know mostly nothing about kids' music these days. But the kid in me—who eschewed Raffi for The Beach Boys at a rather young age—is glad for today's toddlers, since Justin Roberts is one of the most highly acclaimed acts on the scene. Grammy nominee Roberts and his Not Ready for Naptime Players are plenty silly, but with keen wit, inventive arrangements and boatloads of hooks; in other words, they play songs to which even the most stubborn parents will be humming along in no time. Tickets for the 6:30 p.m. performance are $13 for adult members, $18 for all other adults, $9 for children 3 to 12 and free for kids 2 and under. —Spencer Griffith
