Chlorine in the pool is a good thing. Each of those alternative methods can be used as a supplemental treatment, but none replaces the need for chlorine. When the kid next to you has an accident while wearing a swim diaper (think tea-bag), do you want to wait for that water to circulate through the UV or ozone system, or do you want something in the water to start killing germs right away? According to the World Health Organization, in a well-managed pool, chlorine disinfectants are unlikely to pose a risk to health. (http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/bathing/bathing2/en/).
