Re: “Live: Five things learned watching Bucky Covington

Grayson Currin you should be ashamed of yourself! I can easily see "The Buckster" (and his songwriting posse) taking his (their) place among the country greats like Garth and Toby. Sure, the arc of his career isn't quite as impressive yet, but he captures the same all-American, Joe the Plumber/Baker/Garbage Collector/Pizza Delivery Man/Telemarketer/Drunk-dude-at-the-bar-who's-a-hoot-until-he-gets-violent vibe that the greats made a staple of in their songwriting (you can look that shit up). You might consider listening to less of that Elitist atonal indie crap the people in Chapel Hill and Durham make and your paper's always going on about -- them people wouldn't know a hook if it hit 'em in the Theremin. Why not just pop open a cold one and get on the Bucky bandwagon? Dude *finished eighth* on American Idol - what more evidence of his impending greatness do you want?! And lay off the moustache -- Bucky's lip caterpillar gives me a funny feeling, but it says he's a maverick, just like his (team's) music!
