The Independent Interview with David Edgar

Saw The Shape of the Table last night and by complete coincidence met someone from Romania this AM. Someone who had witnessed the tanks roll in and the guns open up on the protestors. The play is powerful and meeting this actual witness this morning was deeply moving. Hearing the firsthand account reinforced how good Mr Edgar's writing is. Burning Coal did an excellent job IMHO. How thankful I am to live in the USA!
