John Fogerty

When: Sun., Nov. 3, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $65-125
Very few musicians can claim to be one of the most iconic songwriters of their time and the leader of one of its greatest rock bands, but John Fogerty has the privilege. As legendary as the former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman is, he still relied on perhaps the most cynical and cyclical of all album-selling gimmicks for the new Wrote a Song for Everyone—that is, the old-timer performing duets of his greatest hits with every artist who would answer the phone. While a few of the pairings are inspired ("Long as I Can See the Light" with My Morning Jacket, for example), is anyone actually hankering for a version of "Born on the Bayou" with Kid Rock moaning in the background? Fogerty's live performances are still amazing, though, so here's your chance to sing along to "Have You Ever Seen the Rain." You're no Alan Jackson, but you'll do. —Isaac Weeks
