Re: “Can John Edwards win?

I have attended town hall meetings with John Edwards in Iowa. The three things I take away from each encounter are that John Edwards is honest, he deeply cares and he is an incredible and brilliant leader. Honest because he does not mince words. He is unapologetically clear about his positions while being completely respectful of a participant who may hold different views. Caring because he shows his vision how to help those who cannot help themselves. He has dignity and treats everyone else with dignity even those who struggle. He is a brilliant leader. He crafts plans that address issues in well thought out, clear, concise and interrelated detail. He sees the difficulty and speaks out before anyone else. Others on the campaign trail follow him. If you are swayed by the swiftboat tactics of degrading a competitors strengths by ridiculous spin, I challenge you to consider logic and substance. Who is more able to help the poor, a wealthy person or a person with little wealth? How similar is John Edwards to other wealthy individuals in the way they earn and spend money or seek to help others? Most importantly ask yourself,What is the substance of John Edwards positions? You can find details of his plans at Edwardss campaign offices or on the website. His plans came out early in his campaign with more detail and more boldness than any of the other candidates. If you compare these positions with those of other candidates notice the Edwards wording and strategies apparent in the other Johnny-come-lately plans. Notice how thorough and revolutionary Edwardss plans are. If you cast out the swiftboat garbage and look at Edwardss substance you be better prepared to evaluate John Edwards as your candidate. Whether he will win or not depends on other people willing to do the same.
