QUAIL RIDGE BOOKS & MUSIC—It's astonishing how much our 39th President has accomplished since leaving office, becoming a great force for international diplomacy and domestic aid with Habitat for Humanity. Though the residents of The Simpsons' Springfield cheekily dubbed him "history's greatest monster," even they would be hard pressed to argue with his latest book, A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence, and Power, which explores human rights abuses against women around the world. Purchasing the book earns a ticket for the signing line, though Carter will not be reading or autographing memorabilia. Monster! —Zack Smith
