Jerrod Niemann, Craig Campbell, Drake White

When: Wed., Aug. 19, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $9.39
iHeartRadio “new country” station B93.9 curated this end-of-summer mini-festival with a performer from nearly every niche of the genre’s current range of pop, dance and rock influences. There’s Jerrod Niemann, whose “Drink To That All Night” first ushered in country’s regrettable EDM phase. There’s the R&B double-D entendre of Craig Campbell and his song “Fish” and David Nail’s jangly ’90s soft-rock intro on “Red Light.” Newcomer Drake White co-opts a Pharrell-like funkiness with “It Feels Good.” Because these days, country music wants to be everything to everybody, as long as they’re a male truck driver looking for a good time down a dirt road. —Karlie Justus Marlowe
