Just to be clear, TROSA Thrift Store does still have to pay to dispose of many items that are unsellable. While we do our best to try to have zero waste, through the methods described in the article, there are still some items that are broken or soiled and not in a condition to sell or even give away. We've worked closely with The Scrap Exchange and others to minimize waste, and are excited for their new store and our continued collaboration. Congratulations to the Scrap Exchange, and I'm personally excited for when the books get moved into the new space!
