Re: “Psst … Guess What? Your Brunch Waiter Hates You.

Noted. Excellent use of your English degree. Now shuffle on back to the kitchen and get my vegan bacon.

Re: “Raleigh’s bike-share program is back on the agenda (maybe)

"Take a stroll to the N.E. corner of Person and Edenton Streets and look at the sign next to the bus-stop if you're curious as to the consensus opinion of residents, employees, and business owners is on this issue."

That sign does not represent a consensus opinion. It represents the owner of Gringo's opinion. The overwhelming reaction to that sign on social media was that Gringo is a poorly establishment and that may be what's "killing his business."

Re: “Residents aren’t buying Raleigh’s plans for East College Park

The city is taking action to clean up blighted areas east of the city with the goal of minimizing disruption. There's currently an RFP for 14 lots on or around Idlewild (just west of College Park) in which every condo/townhouse/single family home built will have income restrictions and require the developer to engage existing members of the community. Rainey has NO plan. Without intervention developers will pick off lots one by one, raze existing structures, and build market rate homes out of reach for a vast majority of current residents.
