Jasper Fforde

When: Mon., Oct. 22, 7 p.m. 2012

British novelist Jasper Fforde has not one but two new books out in the U.S. First up is The Woman Who Died a Lot, the latest in his comical "Thursday Next" series of SF/ fantasy books about a heroine who literally journeys into classic books to interact with the characters. Next is The Last Dragonslayer, his first young adult fantasy, about a woman at a temp agency for magicians in a world where magic is ebbing away. Fforde's comic, imaginative style has earned him a legion of readers and comparisons to the likes of Douglas Adams; check out his latest work or discover it for yourself at this ticketed signing event, which starts at 7 p.m. —Zack Smith
