Re: “The bicycle thief: After being caught with stolen bikes, Christian Browne wants back into Raleigh's cycling scene

This guy should stop worrying about forgiveness and just be thankful he still has all his teeth.

Interesting write-up. I hope we see more local heroes and villains profiled in the future.

Re: “One grumpy guy in Durham thinks ghost bikes are ugly, and now they've been removed

Ms. Sorg, did you reach out to Mr. Nasir for comment?

How does state legislature of slavery monuments relate to Durham city ordinances, or the subject (target?) of this "news blog" entry?

I certainly don't agree with any of the quotes you attributed to Mr. Nasir, but this piece is... it doesn't sit well. Snark is played out, and besides, your sarcasm is poorly applied in a piece that is (presumably) meant to defend memorials for our fellow cyclists. These memorials are in remembrance of the folks who were killed going about their day-to-day lives, and also to create awareness for all the other folks out on two wheels right now trying to get through the day and back home to their families safely. Why not speak seriously about serious issues?

I'm new to the area and I’ve only been reading Indy Week for a few weeks, so maybe I'm just not getting the vibe you're going for here, but this seems like a missed opportunity to use a media platform for the betterment of the community.
