Ira Glass

When: Sat., March 24 2012
Price: $32+

Bless this man. Though the medium of radio seemed to have little room for innovation, his work on This American Life has helped remind a new generation of its vitality. Through in-depth interviews, research and editing, each installment has brought fascinating and often deeply weird stories about people we might not otherwise encounter, all set up by his soothing, quizzical voice. Now he's headed live to DPAC with many stories, and probably a lot of advice about journalism as well, considering the recent scandal about Mike Daisey's partially fictionalized segment about Apple factory workers in China. —Zack Smith
