Ingram Hill

When: Sun., Sept. 4, 8:30 p.m. 2011
Price: $12

Ingram Hill formed around the turn of the millennium out of the Southeastern collegiate pop-rock circuit spawned by the likes of Hootie & the Blowfish and Edwin McCain. The Tennessee trio continues to crank out radio-ready ditties with a slick, glossy sheen. Tinged with a touch of the band's Southern roots, the tunes are serviceable bits of triple-A pop, pairing mostly forgettable hooks with largely unimaginative arrangements. Still, that combination has never discouraged coeds from having a few drinks and singing along, which is precisely what has kept Ingram Hill hovering at the margins of regional success for more than a decade. —Spencer Griffith
