In Their Shoes: Theater Exploring Violence Against Women

When: Oct. 3-11 2014

COMMON GROUND THEATRE—The statistics are harrowing: One woman in three (and one man in four) will experience some form of physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetimes. After their springtime rollout, the Marshall family's MOJOAA Performing Arts Company observes Domestic Violence Month with two original one-acts, From the Boot of Timberland and Good Brother. A talkback with a twist takes place after the Oct. 9 performance: After all women have left the theater, the men will take part in a facilitated discussion on their roles and responsibilities in ending violence against women. 8 p.m. Thurs.–Sat.; 3 p.m. Sun., $15–$20, 4815B Hillsborough Rd., 919-384-7817, mojoaa.org. —Byron Woods
