Human Infection, Pathogenesis, RBT, Suppressive Fire

When: Fri., Oct. 24, 9:30 p.m. 2014
Price: $7
This four-band bill ends with Human Infection, a death metal band as direct and devilish as its name implies. The Virginia group’s new album, Curvatures in Time, dips into sludge or hits the brakes only as a feint, quickly ricocheting ahead into a malevolent maul. Less pure but perhaps more putrid is Pathogenesis, who spill strains of grindcore, noise and hardcore into their assault. They now have some members in Raleigh, so here’s hoping they show up on more area stages soon. —Bryan C. Reed
