Hufflepuffed | Burning Coal Theatre at the Murphey School | Stage | Indy Week
This is a past event.

When: Aug. 16-26 2012
Price: $10

It's a rich vein to mine, applying the foibles of actual young adults to the idealized fantasies of J.K. Rowling. Already, there's been Lev Grossman's satirical series of fantasy novels, The Magicians, and the recent Web series Harry Potter and the Ten Years Later (joblessness and adultery are involved). Now, Greensboro's Mon Frere comedy troupe has teamed up with Burning Coal Theatre Company for Hufflepuffed, the tale of two students at the same school as "a certain young warlock with really cool glasses." We have been warned that this contains a heavy amount of "blue jokes" and that the production is not recommended for those under the age of 14. The show runs through Aug. 22 with performances Thursdays–Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. —Zack Smith
