Those of you who made comments about reparations-have no clue. Those of you who responded to the topic are so far removed from it. The movement requests compensation from companies and corporations who built, financed, marketed, and exploited African Slave Labor. I am sure that not one of your ancestors would ever fit into this socio-economic class that we are demanding reparations from!, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, Aetna Insurance, etc, Why shouldn't my Great Great Great Grandfather be compensated? Why shouldn't my family be entitled to that compounded interest? Reparations is based on a debt that is owed-not a handout. If it weren't for slave labor the American Dream you are enjoying would not exist. It would be unheard of if we required all European Immigrants to work in this country for 300 plus years without compensation.
