Hope For Haiti Fundraiser with Peak City Blues Project, Nuclear Honey, Motrendus

When: Fri., Nov. 16, 6 p.m. 2012
Price: $10

When your headquarters are split between Morrisville and the Haitian city of Bainet, communication can get a little tricky. The Hope for Haiti Foundation has its strategy, though, relying on a team of committed aid workers to extend its mission of helping Haiti help itself. Through educational, environmental and community initiatives, the organization works with Haitians to assist the impoverished in the struggling nation, especially after a devastating season of tropical storms. With this concert, the first in their Midwife Concert Series, the group hopes to raise enough funds to hire midwives for their two clinics. Admission to the 8 p.m. show is just $10 for sets by Peak City Blues Project, Motrendus and Nuclear Honey. —Ashley Melzer
