Hope for Agoldensummer, The Tender Fruit

When: Wed., April 22, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $7
As April creeps to a close and we roll toward warmer weather, Hope For Agoldensummer’s arrival feels appropriate. But don’t expect twee, chirpy tunes from this Georgia duo of sisters. Their 2014 LP, I Bought a Heart Made of Art in the Deep, Deep South, is a swampy, sometimes-spooky set of tunes with powerful, smoky vocals. Openers The Tender Fruit will twist your heart with songs about losing love and finding yourself in the aftermath. —Allison Hussey
