The Alliance for Historic Hillsborough offers guided walking tours of the downtown historic district on the second Saturday of each month. Tours begin at the Hillsborough Visitors Center, located in the late eighteenth century Alexander Dickson House – headquarters of Confederate General Joseph E. Johnston in April 1865.
