Hiss Golden Messenger, Natalie Prass

When: Fri., April 17, 8:30 p.m. 2015
Price: $15
“When Saturday comes, I’m gonna lose myself,” sings Hiss Golden Messenger’s Mike Taylor on “Saturday’s Song.” This Friday show is a good chance to do just that a day early in one of the area’s most beautiful rooms with one of its best bands. September’s Lateness of Dancers features more assured and even cheerful tunes than the band’s brooding back catalog. If you caught their March performance on Letterman, expect more of that energy and then some. Natalie Prass’ recent self-titled debut complements the Nashville singer’s high, sharp voice with the round beauty of Richmond’s Spacebomb Orchestra. —Allison Hussey
