Here Come the Mummies

When: Sat., Sept. 19, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $20
The members of Nashville funk-rock group Here Come the Mummies commit to the bit. They take the stage in full mummy costume. They tour in a van called the Sarcophobus. If that sounds a little juvenile, well, it’s meant to be. The band boasts songs with titles like “Booty,” “Libido Knievel” and “Attack of the Wiener Man” and brandish a leafblower-size device called a Drilldo. Think Gwar, if Gwar played oversexed vintage funk. —Patrick Wall
