This is a past event.
When: Sun., April 21, 3 p.m. 2013
Price: Free

Poet and playwright Debra Kaufman presents her latest theatrical work as part of Almost Ready, a free series of staged works in progress by North Carolina writers. Kaufman's play, Harbor Hope, examines the relationship between a social worker and her client, a domestic violence survivor, in an exploration of class, friendship and professional ethics. Audience members will be encouraged to offer feedback and comments after the show in a discussion with Kaufman and the cast. This is crowdsourcing the creative process—the last step in determining what tweaks need to be made to the play before full production. —Emma Miller
