Happy Traum

When: Sat., Sept. 26, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $17-$23
Brothers Happy and Artie Traum grew up as folk-and-blues-loving kids in the Northeast in the ’50s and ’60s, interests that they parlayed into a brief major-label run during the next decade. In the decades since, Happy’s stock-in-trade has been in showcasing his dexterity with an acoustic guitar and suggesting that he can teach people the basics. He’s long run a successful teaching-by-tape company, and he takes it on tour with this afternoon workshop (4 p.m.) and evening performance (8 p.m.) Expect both to brim with stories from his time spent among the greats of the folk revival. —Grayson Haver Currin
