Hank Williams Jr

When: Fri., Aug. 30, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $49.50-59.50
Hank Williams Jr. is the Colonel Sanders of hat-waving country. One wonders if Bocephus' odes to dogs, backwoods, whiskey and Dixie used to sound as cartoonish as they do now, with western-wear outlaws having flogged that horse for decades. While Willie, Waylon, Merle and Johnny made great albums, Bocephus wrote the Monday Night Football theme. He also brought on Trace Adkins and Brad Paisley to burnish sales of last year's Old School New Rules, but it's only a paint job. Somehow, "Takin' Back the Country" isn't about returning the burglarized goods, looking in the mirror or surrendering to good taste. At least you can hope the beer is on ice. —Chris Parker
