Halloween Fairy Garden Workshop

When: Sat., Oct. 25 2014

ATLANTIC AVENUE ORCHID & GARDEN—When you think of zombies, Atlantic Avenue Orchid & Garden probably isn't the first place that comes to mind. But on Oct. 25, the six-acre nursery offers a workshop on making your own miniature zombie-themed garden. (If the undead isn't your thing, a fairy option is also available.) Specialists will help you create a Halloween container garden complete with walkways, tombstones and haunted birdhouses. The fee includes all the basic materials—soil, gravel, mini-pumpkins and more—with plants and furniture available at a 10 percent discount. Pre-register online or by phone. 1 p.m., $10–$25, 5217 Atlantic Ave., 919-878-8877, www.atlanticavenuegarden.com. —Tina Haver Currin
