Guster, Kishi Bashi

When: Wed., April 22, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $26-$31
Evermotion is Guster’s first full-length in nearly five years. The veteran college-rock outfit steps out of its comfort zone, adding dense layers of electronics, horns and strings. Unfortunately, Evermotion has relatively little staying power, which just makes the easy earworms of the band’s back catalog that much more enjoyable. Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kishi Bashi has toured as a violinist with the likes of Regina Spektor and Of Montreal, but he appears solo with his own kaleidoscopic indie pop. —Spencer Griffith
