Most contemporary folksters seem to prefer taking it easy, offering mid-tempo songs meant mostly to please. But Grace & Tony, a married duo out of Loretto, Tennessee, aren’t afraid to break ranks with their speedy licks on guitar and mandolin. Songs like “The Chameleon” stomp and swing for a refreshing change of pace. Greensboro’s Lowland Hum opens. Their self-titled record is a collection of intimate and gentle tunes, quiet in a way that’s warm and inviting. —Allison Hussey
