Lisa Sorge says the produce we eat is particularly likely to be grown from genetically engineered seed. Not so. Very little produce anywhere is genetically engineered. At this time, virus-resistant zucchini and papaya are the only GM crops in U.S. fields that could be called produce. The most common GM crops are corn, soybeans and cotton.
