Girlpool, Frankie Cosmos, Daddy Issues

When: Fri., Aug. 7, 10 p.m. 2015
Price: $10
A fantastic double bill of indie rock, brimming with wide-eyed youth: Frankie Cosmos is the nom de plume of Greta Kline, a well-heeled New York celebrity spawn (Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates are her parents) who crafts gently catchy, empathetically twee songs that make her seem improbably well-adjusted. Cleo Tucker and Harmony Tividad, of Philly rock band Girlpool, are similarly vulnerable. But there’s communal power in their shared intimacy. They harness the life force of being besties. Daddy Issues open, and it is, alas, their final Triangle show. —Jeff Klingman
