I'm glad that the author points out that the books miss several key elements of the movies, and to truly understand everything happening in the movies you must read the books. I'm also glad that the author pointed out that Christian groups who protest the books because they're based in a magical world never took the time out to see that they're really about good vs evil, prejudice, and classism. They're really just boycotting one of the few book series in the past decade that has actively gotten children interested in reading again. It seems like a waste, especially since there are so many good lessons for children to learn throughout the series.
