Finding My Voice

When: July 19-20, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $10

You may have seen Lee Galbreath as Princess Ida in the Durham Savoyards' 2011 production of the same name. You also may have seen Galbreath, a licensed massage therapist, working on someone's back at The Retreat at Brightleaf. Now's your chance to see her do her solo performance thing in her debut one-woman show, a self-written piece billed as part recital and part 40th-birthday extravaganza. Both honest and humorous, Finding My Voice uses monologues and songs to tell of Galbreath's personal journey toward self-discovery after a period of loss and disillusionment. The show is preceded by a short first act featuring longtime Triangle improviser Dan Sipp, who will tell stories and perform character monologues. —Emma D. Miller
