Fight Power Company Rate Hikes

When: March 14-29 2011
Urge state legislators to oppose the power companies’ Annual Rate Hike bill. Duke Energy & Progress Energy want their customers to pay in advance for construction of financially risky nuclear power plants, at $10 billion per reactor, with automatic annual rate hikes that could total 50% or more. Their lobbyists are working to bypass debate by lining up legislators’ votes before their bill is even filed or debated. Short phone calls are best. Details: ConsumersAgainstRateHikes.org.
