Felix the Drum Machine

Felix the Drum Machine

When: Thu., Nov. 25, 10 p.m. 2010
Price: $6

"I have actually written a new song," announces Brian Shaw, one of two guitarists in Felix the Drum Machine. "Whether or not we play it remains to be seen." You might know Felix's constituent parts better than the band itself. Shaw spins records in bars across town and plays in the new band Cellar Seas, while William Cashion, Zach Oden and Brian Corum play in Future Islands, Annuals and Lonnie Walker, respectively. Felix was the high school project of the four, who all attended Southeast Raleigh High School. They revived it for Thanksgiving last year at Slim's, and they'll do the same at Kings this year. "We haven't practiced since that show," Shaw admits. "But we're going to play this weekend." —Grayson Currin
