Fat, Fat, Skinny, Black

When: Fri., Nov. 2, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: $5

In case you haven't heard, there are a lot of standup comedians—some good, some gawdawful—swarming around the Triangle. Considering that open mic spots keep popping up to facilitate all these damn comics, it's now up to the seasoned professionals, the ones who are actually trying to make a career out of being working comedians, to find a way to get some definite stage time. This may explain why four North Carolina comedians have teamed up for Fat, Fat, Skinny, Black: A Comedy Experience. You basically see what you get with this show, which combines the standup styles of husky Triangle comics Steve Brady and Cody Hughes with slim Greensboro dude Ben Long and Raleigh's own Mello Mike Miller, the resident brotha (also a slim dude). —Craig D.
