Experimental Night: Microcephalic Superintendant, Kamama, Renay Aumiller & Alexis Mastromichalis

When: Thu., June 24, 9 p.m. 2010

A chamber improv group that has rotated several players, Microcephalic Superintendent usually features Chris Eubank on cello, Craig Hilton on a plucked Chinese zither called the guzheng, Carrie Shull on oboe and English horn, Todd Hershberger on bassoon and Crowmeat Bob on reeds. The Superintendent moves in rich, muscular gestures with room for individual play. Don't miss Kamama, with Baltimore cellist Audrey Chen and percussionist Luca Marini, and dance work from Renay Aumiller (recently returned from a stay in Chicago) and Alexis Mastromichalis. —Chris Toenes
