The popular lobby exhibit, which features the roles of Senator Sam Ervin and several Senate Watergate Committee staffers from the Tar Heel State, will close 40 years and a day after Richard Nixon resigned the presidency and left office on August 9, 1974. The Watergate exhibit was funded, in part, by Rufus L. Edmisten, Kenneth B. Howard, and Lacy M. Presnell III.
