Erotic Poetry and Burlesque

When: Thu., Sept. 13, 10 p.m. 2012
Price: Free
Forget sweet nothings. Talk dirty to me. Set my ear on fire with it. That's what you'll get at the "Spark After Dark" erotic poetry performance and burlesque show during SPARKcon. Performance poets sling equal parts bawd and bard in this arousing poetrySPARK event with heavy slam leanings. Poems are five minutes max. There are props and costume changes, and dancers take a turn onstage throughout. Amidst the fecund fray of SPARKcon, poetrySPARK events continue through Sunday, including open mic and juried readings as well as the feature reading with Jaki Shelton Green, Terri Kirby Erickson and the Sacrificial Poets. —Chris Vitiello
