Engineers Day

When: Sat., Aug. 10, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. 2013
Despite my bitterness toward engineers for getting all the cool facilities on college campuses—what, the English Department can't have giant glass walls?—I must confess that Engineers Day at the Museum of Life and Science sounds pretty darn dope. There's the "IBM Engineering Exploration Fair" featuring all sorts of science exhibits, Lego Robotics Workshops, the RTP Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, CISCO's NERV mobile response team, Enloe High School's Robotics FRC Team, explorations of 3-D environment programming with Alice software and more. However, we would like to propose a National Writers Day. We checked, and there's only a "National Day of Writing," which doesn't count. —Zack Smith
